October 24, 6 to 8 PM operation Christmas Child: Stuffing shoeboxes for children and other countries that don’t get Christmas gifts

October 25,Neewollah fest Youth group costume contest, fun and prizes.

October 30 fall night: LSCA camp Springfield 6 to 8 PM leave the church at 4:45 PM

Volunteers needed-

Emmanuel – God is with us Christmas Eve celebration – we want you to be a part of our celebration! We are putting plans together and we want to include your family. A brief informational meeting and sign up is scheduled for September 27 right after church service in Neil’s Sunday school room, Straight down West Wing hallway on the right side.

We need – sound text, vocalists, instrumentalists, greeters/wiseguys/ushers, bakers, hosts/hostesses, dancers, sign language, interpreters, actors, wiggle room, event, promoters, children – nativity characters.

Poor& Restore

Ladies, you are invited to join us on Saturday, September 26 at 9 AM for a good time of fellowship, snacks, and, of course, coffee. OCC Shoeboxes-

Sunday, October 18 we will be handing out operation Christmas child shoeboxes. Can you fill a shoebox with simple gifts? Contact Carrie Fleer with any questions(217-502-6078). Boxes are due back by November 15.

BB dedication-

If you are the parent of an infant, you are invited to participate in our Baby Dedication Day On Sunday, October 25 during worship service. We recognize new babies and their families and make commitment to help build strong, Godly families. if you would like to participate, contact the Church By October 11.

Caregiver Support Group

This support group is intended to aid others, male and female alike, caring for a loved one who is suffering from a long-term illness, dementia memory deficit, aging or physical incapacities. First steps

we want to invite you to our first steps class. This class will meet for six weeks: September 13 through October 18 during the Sunday school hour at 9 AM. Pastor Bill will lead this group in classroom number four, behind the information window.(we will call it the mountain.) Come, learn what it means to be a follower of Christ, as well as as a member of Havanna Church of Christ. We hope you’ll join us!
