Caregiver Support Group

This support group is intended to aid others, male and female alike, caring for a loved one who is suffering from a long-term illness, dementia memory deficit, aging or physical incapacities. We are here to share together our difficulties, frustrations and successes. Console during hard time and rejoice in good.

Sausage Fundraiser

Tim Sickmyre is taking orders for sausage. There are order forms in the lobby. 1 pound rolls – $5 per roll. Last day to order is September 10. Pick up on September 17, Kilbourne Dollar General from 1:30 PM to 2 PM, Manito at the lodge 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, Mason city Casey’s from 4 PM to 5 PM, September 18 3 to 5 PM at the Church of Christ. Payment is appreciated. Make checks payable to Havanna Church of Christ. Proceeds go to Havanna Church of Christ to be used where needed.

Oktoberfest parade

The Fellowship team is asking for cash or candy donations for the Oktoberfest parade, which is on September 12. We ask that the candy be individually wrapped. Please give cash donations to Jake Harrman, or Melody Deweese. They are also looking for more people to join the Fellowship team. If you are interested, please see Jake Harrman.

LSCA Senior day out

Thursday, September 10, starting at 8:30 AM, with coffee and cinnamon rolls. Don Green will be the guest speaker, he is the former president of Lincoln Christian University. Zerr lunch at 12 PM with a concert to follow. Cost, $25. Register online at, lasacamp.org

First steps

we want to invite you to our first steps class. This class will meet for six weeks: September 13 through October 18 during the Sunday school hour at 9 AM. Pastor Bill will lead this group in classroom number four, behind the information window.(we will call it the mountain.) Come, learn what it means to be a follower of Christ, as well as as a member of Havanna Church of Christ. We hope you’ll join us!
